This piece is my first exploration with porcelain, and it presented a unique challenge compared to other clays I've worked with. I experimented with creating a curvy, organic form, which I feel gives the piece a flowing, natural character. The glaze gives the vase a dynamic, almost molten-metal effect, with smoky black and gray tones accented by subtle bronze and metallic streaks. The finish has a flowing, organic quality that adds depth and movement to the surface. Unfortunately, there is a crack on the bottom, which means this piece cannot hold liquids, but it still serves as a striking decorative object.
