Artifact C-L-01, recovered from the Caldera Expanse excavation site of Obsidian-12A, stands as a sealed container with a domed lid and subtle taper. The exterior remains unglazed in deep black clay, smooth to the touch, while the interior of the lid’s raised knob reveals layered bands of storm-grey, ash-white, and pale blue glaze — a swirling horizon encased within. The underside of the lid shows three intersecting cracks, forming almost a spiral pattern; these do not affect fit, stability, or use.
