This heart features an exterior glaze that transitions from a pale ivory rim into layered tones of brown, rust, and copper metallic. Along the top edge, the glaze breaks into flowing, flame-like shapes that add movement and visual texture. The finish references the exterior of the three Molten Series pieces from the original Vessels of Contrast collection, creating a quiet visual link between past and present work.
Inside, the glaze shifts from a warm taupe base into cloudy whites and soft indigo, pulling inward toward an intense, dark core. It has the look of something still and pooled — like blood or ink settling in water. Fine surface crackling adds quiet detail throughout. The piece holds contrast in both color and feeling, with a surface that opens calmly and a center that draws the eye inward.
