This is the only bowl in the series that broke during its making. Rather than discard it, I chose to repair it using the Japanese technique of Kintsugi—sealing the cracks with gold to honor the story of its breakage.
The exterior is a deep, matte blackened navy—soft to the touch and subtly smoky in tone. In contrast, the interior opens into glowing color: a soft pink center with a pearly, opalescent sheen, surrounded by delicate washes of cream, ivory, and the faintest blush. Hints of misty green and pale blue pool toward the edges.
Gold lines trace across the surface of the bowl, visible both inside and out—marking where it broke, and where it was made whole again.
This piece is not for sale but remains part of the collection.
